EDIPI

EDIPI (european weather Extremes: DrIvers, Predictability and Impacts) is an international consortium of universities, research centres and private companies aiming to further our holistic understanding of temperature, precipitation (incl. drought) and surface wind extremes over Europe. The project enables 14 early-career scientists to become “Weather Extreme Experts” with the aim of obtaining a PhD degree. The scientists come from different countries (India, Indonesia, Belarus, Serbia, Australia, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Germany). Research institutions hosting the scientists are located in various European countries and in Tel Aviv. In addition, numerous international research institutions and private sector companies provide training programs and collaborations. The EDIPI projects is funded under the European Commission’s H2020-MSCA-ITN programme.
