The image above shows the three scientific objectives of the project: Scientific Objective 1 (belonging to Work Package 5) – Enhancing the mechanistic understanding of weather extremes in present and future climates. Scientific Objective 2 (belonging to Work Package 6) – Advancing predictive capabilities for weather extremes. Scientific Objective 3 (belonging to Work Package 7) – Evaluating impacts of weather extremes under global change.

Each Principal Investigator is responsible for a Ph. D. position and the associated doctoral project. Throughout the project there will be a close interaction between the different Ph. D. positions.
